Feminine Bed Inspiration

Our second “Shop Our Style” Blog features our Lake Forest store.  We love how they dressed this beautiful feminine bed by blending neutral and blush tones to create a fresh look for summer. Blush has been a very trendy color this year and we are happy to see it featured in home fashion as well!

 

The upholstered bed is definitely the focal piece for this ensemble with its large floral design and silver nail heads. The store was able to play off the colors in the headboard to create a sophisticated, yet feminine look. They added a solid linen duvet in Indigo by Pine Cone Hill. This duvet has a casual, denim-like texture and is finished with a white embroidery border around the duvet and shams.  A summer matelasse coverlet by Pine Cone Hill is added as the perfect layering piece for warmer weather. Plus, it looks a bit like seer-sucker, which adds a little texture to the solid linen duvet. To give the bed ensemble a little more pattern, the store dressed the bed with “Confetti” sheets made by Pine Cone Hill in gray—we love this playful touch!

 

To really bring out the blush, we added in the Vanara Euro by John Robshaw. This lovely pillow is detailed with  pink, geometric embroidery on a natural linen ground.  The Grace Dec pillow by V Rugs & Home is a sweet addition and really ties the whole look together. Finally to finish the look, we placed a blush throw at the end of the bed by Rani Arabella.

Finally the John Robshaw Velu Euro is a unique, hand painted piece that would look so great on a chair by your room or even as an addition to the bed. This pillow having us dreaming of a tropical island vacation!
